The Citizens Energy Council exists to provide factual, unbiased information about natural gas development to residents of Western Pennsylvania — and to ensure that community voices are heard in decisions that affect their land, their economy, and their future.

Energy Development can coexist with a healthy environment when done responsibly.

ORIGIN STORY
We started CEC because we saw too many conversations about our communities happening without the people who actually live and work here. As local landowners, business owners, and community leaders, we felt the debate had become one-sided and disconnected from the facts on the ground. So we came together to create a voice rooted in real experience, honest information, and a shared commitment to our neighbors. Today, CEC exists to make sure local perspectives are heard, facts remain at the center of the conversation, and our communities have a stronger voice in shaping their future.
